\u00a1Estamos de celebraci\u00f3n! El 21 de mayo de 2022, el programa LIFE<\/a> cumple treinta a\u00f1os. Durante todos estos a\u00f1os, el Programa ha apoyado m\u00e1s de 5500 proyectos de protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente, conservaci\u00f3n de la naturaleza y acci\u00f3n por el clima de gran impacto en toda Europa, allanando el camino hacia un futuro m\u00e1s sostenible.<\/p>\n

Hace 30 a\u00f1os, en 1992, la Uni\u00f3n Europea adopt\u00f3 la Directiva de H\u00e1bitats de la UE y el programa LIFE. Esta legislaci\u00f3n pionera dio origen a la Red Natura 2000 de la UE, la red coordinada de \u00e1reas protegidas m\u00e1s grande del mundo.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan datos de la comisi\u00f3n europea<\/a>, hoy en d\u00eda, la Red se extiende sobre el 18 % de la superficie terrestre de la UE y m\u00e1s del 9 % de su territorio marino y protege nuestro patrimonio natural \u00fanico. Gracias a Natura 2000, la UE protege alrededor de 1400 especies de animales y plantas silvestres y 460 especies de aves. Espa\u00f1a es el pa\u00eds de la Uni\u00f3n Europea que m\u00e1s superficie aporta a la Red Natura 2000. Cuenta con un 27% de su territorio terrestre y m\u00e1s del 8% del marino protegido bajo esta figura, con cerca de 2.000 espacios.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Para celebrar el aniversario desde Fundaci\u00f3n Global Nature, se han realizado numerosas iniciativas enmarcadas dentro de diferentes proyectos LIFE en los que actualmente participa.<\/p>\n

Exposici\u00f3n Humedales y Cambio Clim\u00e1tico.<\/b><\/p>

Durante todo el mes, la exposici\u00f3n del proyecto LIFE Wetlands4Climate recorrer\u00e1 diferentes puntos de la geograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola, en concreto podr\u00e1 visitarse en Castilla-La Mancha (Toledo), Castilla y Le\u00f3n (Palencia) y en la Comunitat Valenciana (Castell\u00f3n). La exposici\u00f3n hace un recorrido a lo largo de 14 paneles (accede aqu\u00ed a la serie<\/span><\/a>), sobre el importante papel de los humedales , uno de los h\u00e1bitats m\u00e1s sensibles y amenazados de la Uni\u00f3n Europea, y demostrando que, bien conservado, es un gran aliado en la lucha frente al cambio clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
