Fundación Global Nature

Private non-profit foundation dedicated to nature protection; since our creation in 1993 to significantly contribute to the protection of nature and biodiversity, supporting sustainability policies and conservation strategies that enable creating value for all concerned sectors.

Since our early days, the restoration and management of wetlands has been one of our main lines of action. Our work on the conservation of wetlands along 25 years has been recognized with the Ramsar Convention Award for Wetland Wise Use. 

Global Nature Fund and Living Lakes

Living Lakes is an international network and partnership whose mission is to enhance the protection, restoration and rehabilitation of lakes, wetlands, other freshwater bodies of the world and their catchment areas. The Living Lakes Network was created in 1998 by Global Nature Fund, a non-profit, independent, international foundation for the protection of environment and nature; the headquarters are located in Radolfzell at Lake Constance, Germany. With the celebration of its 20 anniversary Living Lakes comes to Valencia to celebrate its fifteenth edition, to review the last 20 years of networking and to set out new objectives for the future. L’Albufera de Valencia belongs to the network since 2009. Spain has also other weltands associated such as Laguna de La Nava (Palencia), Salobrar de Campos (Mallorca), Humedales de La Mancha (Castilla La Mancha), and Delta del Llobregat (Cataluña).
