Reconecta is an initiative to highlight the value of forest areas and ensure their conservation, focusing on the recovery of underutilized or abandoned forest land. This program has been implemented in the provinces of Cuenca, Soria, and Teruel, which are among the most depopulated regions in Spain.
The objective of Reconecta is to identify the owners of these lands, motivate them, and provide the necessary tools to guarantee the conservation and sustainable use of the forests. Additionally, the project seeks to revitalize the resources of these ecosystems, contributing to the mobilization of the bioeconomy, rural development, and the creation of forest-related opportunities.
