Agri-food sustainability

we promote an efficient use of natural resources through innovation

Biodiversity loss and climate change are major challenges of our society and key elements to ensure our nutrition, production processes, and the overall quality of life.

We promote an efficient use of natural resources through innovation and collaboration with local communities.  From the farmer’s field to the consumer’s table we actively work to promote sustainability throughout the food chain through European projects or the elaboration of sustainable sourcing guides

We develop practical activities that allow us to generate knowledge and experience

We “accompany” other farmers and stockbreeders, agreeing with them on measures and action plans and providing them with tools and training

We evaluate and measure the environmental benefits

We spread and support the mainstreaming of the best practices, both in links in the chain and in promoting policies that enable sustainability

Sustainable sourcing

More than 30% of Spanish lands are destined for agricultural use, which makes their management a key aspect for the conservation of natural heritage.

Climate change

Among the diffuse sectors, the Spanish agrarian sector is the second largest greenhouse-gas emitting. However, it can also act as carbon sink.
