Different projects have created and tested IT tools to facilitate decision making – at farm level and along the supply chain – on strategic agri-environmental issues such as climate change and biodiversity

ACCTool (LIFE AgriClimateChange)

Tool developed to calculate energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions to assess different crops at farm level, to identify mitigation measures to be applied in farms and to be transferred to climate change policies. 

ACZ Tool (LIFE AgriAdapt)

Created to assess the vulnerability to climate change at farm level. It includes the ACZ Tool that provides agro-climatic indicators and projections for different crops at county level (25x 25 km), and the FVT Tool that analyzes the climatic information (results from ACZ), agronomic practices and socio-economic data to develop adaptation measures.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

The availability of geodata of biodiversity and agrarian performance indicators allow us not only to assess and follow-up the pilot actions and demonstrative farms but to set-up objectives and to analyze results as well as priorities and roadmaps for the different crops and regions.

Fertilization and sustainability

We test methods to transform pig slurry in commercial high value organic fertilizers.  We contribute to the circular economy

We collaborate in the creation of pesticides made from agro-industrial byproducts in protecting stone fruit crops, replacing pesticides of chemical origin.

We develop good management practices to be accredited by the quality standard Go-Dehesa that allow the differentiation of products from this agroecosystem – dehesa – based on environmental and social values, and at the same time we look for profitability of the dehesas (owned by public or private entities).
